Mr Shane, in the truck rules it says 2wd or 4wd in mod. Is that 2 different classes or running both together?, and it says SCT tyres, is that right or am I reading it incorrectly?

Modified is either 2 or 4WD , both in the same class Which means there are only 2 classes to run in for SCT........Stock or Modified
And SCT tyres only on standard SCT rims i.e. no 1/8th scale wheels or tyres allowed in either class. And note that ribbed SCT fronts are not allowed in Stock but are allowed in Modified

Please note :- we will be allowing brushed motors down to 19 turns to be used in Short Course Truck at the 2011 Stampede , in line with ORRCA Vic rules for the rest of 2011. But as of 2012 , and any Stampedes thereafter only brushless motors will be allowed.

This is just a question from a newbe to 1/10th (yes I come from yucky nitro) and in no way meant with any sarcasm. I realise that this is a touchy subject from the coments I heard in Mildura...

Hi all, this sounds like an awesome event especially under lights... Just a question with regard to front tires on 2wd shortcourse. As some one that ran them at the Vic tittles in mildura I am wondering why they are'nt allowed at this event as they are a front 2wd specific tire. They seem to be legal in the US and Australia looks like they are using roar rules as guide line for this class.

To nip the controversy in the bud , we have decided that ribbed fronts are illegal in SCT Stock at the Stampede , and that no turbo or timing advance will be allowed either. We have made the call early , and we will expect everyone to abide by the ruling.
They will be allowed in Modified , and my understanding of the ROAR rules as they stand at present is that they are illegal anyway. But as Modified is an open class we have decided to allow them there.
