Mav, I couldn't see any mention of any rules for the Short Course Trucks in the links on the NSW site. Are they going to be running in the club series? If so what rules are they following regarding motors and esc's.

Cheers

We've finally sorted the calendar for 2011.
Please see the first post or the website for information regarding the 2011 season, as well as rules, classes and general information.

I've also posted link to the new 2011 AARCMCC EP OFR rules & approved ESC list.

Good Luck!

The 2011 Club Series is not open to Beginners. Clubs should ensure that entrants have sufficient driving skills to participate in an event at this level.

This little statement has killed off my chances of running in the series. Oh well at least they let new drivers race in the on road series.

Yea I think it's more a matter of making sure people know the qualifying and racing etiquette, not how fast you are..

It's not about how fast you are. It's just to ensure that entrants understand the rules, and what is required on the day. Imagine having a marshal for 2 WD Mod that has no experience, and just finished a C Final. He's either going to get hurt, or more likely be abused by the experienced racers, and never come back.
Seen enough of that in the last 12 months.

I think there are quite a few people who would like SCT, but you couldn't fit it in without dropping one of the Nationally sanctioned classes or going to 2 days which is not something that is going to suit all clubs or all racers driving the series at the moment.

Just speaking for myself, I'd say the Club Series is probably likely to continue to preference National classes over others in the future, unless numbers fall.

SCT is probably popular enough right now to be a National class, but for that to happen one of the other classes would have to be dropped, because State Title meetings couldn't accommodate another one.
