Who's ORRCA Vic? Maybe the question should be 'Whats ORRCA Vic"?
ORRCA Vic is the reason we are still able to have classes to suit everyones driving ability/skill level etc.
This is why 540 is still ran at ORRCA Vic events in Victoria. A class you enjoyed racing for a long period of time, also allows the old boys [over 40's] to have their own race at State Titles.
It also organises the 4 clubs insurances so the clubs dont pay through the nose for insurance.
Organises a structured race/event calendar [see first post and thanks Glenn] so racers can plan leave passes well in advance for events they may choose to run.
Also gives clubs a vote on changes that may occur as the sport/hobby changes not just dictating what the changes will be.
Some may see this a pointless body, each to their own.
Hope this answers your question Shane.
btw, thanks for asking it. Its reassured me the reason why I've decided to step away from EP racing for the moment.

There is an ORRCA Vic meeting planned for Saturday 15 March which is the day before the Knox Cup. Time still to be determined.
My understanding of the agenda so far is as follows:
As outgoing president, some of the proposals which have been documented and are currently unresolved which I am aware of are:
I have attached Bob's proposal for information and the proposed ORRCA Vic Manual can be found at the following link:

My understanding of the agenda so far is as follows:
- Elect a new committee - including a new president, secretary and AARCMCC delegate
- Consider any current and future proposals which remain unresolved
As outgoing president, some of the proposals which have been documented and are currently unresolved which I am aware of are:
- Ratification of the ORRCA Vic Manual - which is designed to document the role of ORRCA Vic, how major meets should be run, and the future schedule
- a proposal from Bob Tierney regarding having a permanent race referee at all future ORRCA Vic drivers series rounds (Bob has volunteered for the position but we are open to any other nominations)

Due to delays in getting the Knox drivers stand rebuilt, it has been decided to swap the Knox and Keilor Cup's around.
That means the Keilor Cup will be held on 27 March 2011 and the ORRCA Vic meeting will be held on Saturday 26 March 2011 at Keilor now.
A revised version of the calendar is attached for info.

BTW guys in case you didnt see the latest calendar - Keilor Cup is now 27 March (see separate thread).
TT - tips: if it is sugar watered again and warm, make sure you have White Compound Bar Codes Had a run at the track yesterday and grip was very high, but apparently nothing like it was last weekend.
Word is that there may be some interstate drivers attending for a warmup before the electric nats a few weeks later...

There have been a few agenda item flowing via email.
If anyone has anything to add please PM me.
There is a tentative cut off date for all agenda items, I believe the Thursday before the event.
