Qld Offroad State Titles - Pine Hills Dirt Racing (previously BDR) 17-20th June 2010

assuming there's one class of 1/8 electric, any idea of the race format over the course of the event - i.e. number of qualifiers per day?
also, what are people's thoughts about running 3x10 instead of 2x15 minute finals? reason being that setting your car up for 10 minutes can be quite different than setting it up for 15 minutes - i.e. heavier batteries and/or slower motor. as with 1/10 electric i propose that we keep all heats the same duration, either 15 or 10 - my preference being 10 because it gives more electrics setup flexibility and allows for an overall quicker car

There's a link to the rules somewhere. It will be run according to that. 4or more qualifiers and 2x15min finals. And I don't think that'll change

No anybody who is promoting a event can get one, with all the expence of the events I just didnt want 200 people asking me for there money back if it was cancelled.
Promoters take out insurance all the time to cover themselves.

i spoke to your insurance broker about it then i reread the AARCMCC rules and even if it does rain we are obligated to run the event which means less heats if thats what it takes. With all the expense that the club has to fork out i very much dought we will brake even so i dont think $1000 insurance is in the cards. This event will be run by the book unlike alot of other events that are held all around australia. We will not be tolerating any yelling or abuse of the marshalls and any other unsportsman like behaviour.
Like i said in my first post, if you are worried about it raining then dont register until it gets closer to the date but if we run out of spots or the registration is closed on the date supplied and you havent made your mind up you will not be racing, your call.

How many spots are available for the race day? I'd take out my own personal insurance policy on myself and and call it "wait till days before the cut off" instead of loosing $75 signing up now..

Arrr I think you got off on the wrong foot there Adrian. I'm only saying what everyone else is going to do. Have you seen what the track goes like with hail? Anyway, you didn't answer my question, or can't you read Adrian, How many spots are available for race day?.

120. Alright, I must have missed that. Sorry. Is there a way I or we can see how many numbers have been filled from now until the cut off date? If it gets too tight I may have to bite the bullet. I'll be running in the 1/8th elecy class. Will it be a combined class (Monsters, Truggy and Buggy) or if numbers permit will there be separate classes. If it's just one class how many is the max that can run in the electrics? This is prolly in the rules, but it's been a hard week at work.
