Hi guys,
I am looking for something like a serpent 966e, 977e or similar - it can be a different brand as well.
Complete is preferable (will consider roller as well).
I live in Sydney if that helps
Thank you

Hi, Do you guys in Sydney have race classes for 1/8 onroad EP?

I was under the impression that Moorebank could support 1/8? I'm not sure myself...for me though, I just want a 1/8 as a hobby car
I know it's the F1 of RC but I absolutely luv these things!

There are a couple of manufacturers that have released EP versions - most noteable:
Shepherd E8
Serpent 977e
Capricorn E801
These things are absolute WEAPONS! A few videos here:

These cars would easily hold their own against the nitro versions, so I am sure if you rocked up with one to race on any given club day, you will race!

Yes - Definitely they would be the most enjoyable EP onroad vehicles to race.
I have just started racing 1/8 EP offroad and am finding it alot more enjoyable than 1/10 EP offroad, just for the fact that the car feels more docile/ less twitchy and that the track is bigger which gives me more time to relax and process.
If I was 16 yrs old and had extreme reflexes it all wouldnt matter but anyway.
We dont have a race class for 1/8 onroad here in brisbane, so at the moment for me - it would also just be a purchase of interest.
Our largest onroad track here in Brisbane [brendale] is about to be reborn so it might be really nice to run a 977e around there.
We all know that those NITRO guys can be pretty one eyed when it comes to racing so I am not sure too many would enjoy being challenged by their more refined EP 1/8 cousins...

Surprisingly the market is small for these cars so I think I'm going to struggle finding a second unit complete. Any other suggestions where I could look for one?
I've trawled thru eBay, gumtree & for sale on this forum...
