Default WTB Vintage Tamiya Fox

Im after an original 80's Tamiya Fox, doesn't have to be mint and in a box, maybe its already made up and in good condition it doesnt matter. All that matters is that it aint some hack.
What do I mean by that? Well for examaple I don't mind a few scratches under the chassis (to be expected) but those shinny gold chrome wheels need to have no chips or scratches if possible. Thats pretty much what I'm after.

This was my first RC car so I need one that can bring back and remind me of my first joy

I live in Melbourne and would need to see some pics prior or take a local visit to check one out!

Cheers

John

I have one that is in pretty reasonable condition, broken rear arm, missing driver, wheels lost some gold and needs a bit of TLC, but all original.

However I would need a very good offer to part with it.

Sounds like it needs a fair bit of money thrown at it to make it look half descent, whats this about a "very good offer" all about?

Nick wants to give it away free kind of good offer perhaps?

The Fox is not a very rare and expensive buggy to find/purchase. Try ebay USA, they are dime a dozen over on that place.

Fox Prices are on the way up.

Looks like Tamiya is not going to Re RE them.

Too find one in good nic without a broken chassis (common) and very good plated ( they chip within a couple runs ) wheels you will be paying around the $200 To $300.

I have over 8 of them in my grave yard and all have broken rear arms. My mate just paid $50 US for a set of arms.

Mark is definately an authority when it comes to the Fox as he indeed knows and loves them well.
Personaly I would not discount Tamiya rereleasing this car as Tamiya have never eluded to any of the releases thus far. Who would have thought they'd rere the Sand Scorcher?!
A good condition Fox still fetches a fair price but scrapers don't. If you are happy to piece on together over time you might build up a good car.
Again check US eBay as they are often on offer over there.

Just VERY poor at the moment and very attached to the Fox, so I could be persuaded to sell but it would take a fair bit and to be honest I don't know what that price would be. Maybe I should just get it sorted for the next vintage meet at Ryde

Nick i think your Fox would make a very worthy addition to your Topforce. Both cars would serve you very well on the race track.

Well I had some luck on Ebay so now its a matter of waiting for it to rock up so I can analyse what parts I need to make her a shelf queen.
It comes with a couple of spare parts\chassis maybe build another to hoon around with
