I've got an Evader ST (not the EXT, it has the alloy shocks, stronger plastic, ball diff etc.) I was thinking of selling. It's got a no turn limit speedy, 12 x 2 turn Team Checkpoint off road racing motor and will come with everything including a battery (3000Mah NiMH), and an aluminium front bumper, the only thing you'll need is a battery charger. I'll even throw in a Novak Smart Stop Lipo cut off, in case you want to use Lipos (if you're interested). I've got another Evader ST with a Traxxas VXL brushless system in it and this goes faster than the brushless and it's not geared as high. The only reason I don't sell the one with the VXL in it is because it was my first RC and I want to hang on to it.
It's also got deans plugs on the battery and esc's battery wires and 4mm gold bullet connectors on the motor wires, no voltage loss anywhere. And a fan on the speedy too, not needed but better safe than sorry. I do this to all my cars.
The car is worth $300 in any shop in Australia, the speedy is worth $90, the motor is worth more than $100 (I'll throw in a spare set of brushes too), the Novak Smart Stop is about $40 worth, the battery is barely used and bought for $40. It'll also come with the manual and the CD that came with it (I'm sure I'll find it) and the transmitter also has batteries in it. I'll do the lot for $270 including registered and insured post, a bargain in anyone's book.
Evaders are tough as nails. I rarely break a part unless I do something stupid.
I see that you said this is more than your budget, but this way, you don't have to buy a brushless system straight away. This one will easily keep up.
PM me if you're interested.
