Ok guys, thought i should share my experience with Smithy081 with the rc community. After looking for a TC5R for a while and getting impatient i thought maybe i should get the package that he had forsale and put use to everything that i really didnt need for bashing around. To start off probably the worst communication i have experienced with any member on here. Didnt know if money had been received or what. Now he told me that he was sorting out some packaging for the car and i also asked for registered post as i had payed $650 for it all and the last thing i wanted was for it to get lost in the mail.
Now when i received the box it looked like it had been reused about 10 times as it was a mess, the box came half opened, was held together with 2 bits of sticky tape and had no padding on the inside. The package was not sent via registered post as i asked and My name was also spelt wrong. The bodies also came seperately in another bag. He did not put a return address on both of the packages so im guessing he knew something was gonna come about and so without the address i wouldn't be able to track him down.
-When i opened the box first thing i noticed, the aerial had been snapped off the DX3 transmitter and you can see where the glue is left from various attempts to fix it. Now funny cause when you look at the photo from the forsale thread you can see he has pushed the aerial on the remote to look like its not broken, see attatched pic.

Didnt receive any springs
. spektrum dx3 with pro reciever-
Broken aerial, glitches
. 3 3200 mah lipos-
One had a dead cell, another had a cracked case and balance leads broken.

Got 2, not 3
. 2 540 motors

Tested the transmitter in my SC10 and almost demolished the thing, it got a glitch and sent it flying into a gate, so im pretty sure the transmitter is stuffed, will test again soon.
One lipo only reads 3.7v. I was told that all 3 lipo's where in good condition.
Haven't tested the sphere yet so don't know what to expect.
Now i was probably a ****head for actually buying this package but i have had nothing but positive experiences on here with buying and selling so i thought it would be alright. Now i thought everything would have been worth the $650 i payed for it as it was all meant to be from what i was told from smithy081 'in good condition all the stuff bought new apart from the DX3' but it ain't worth shit in the condition its in. Very very dissapointed with the result, tried to get in contact with him but i was told to get over myself??? He offered no refund or to pay back some of the money cause he said 'it was in good condition when i sent it". Im dissapointed i was lied too with the conditon that all the gear was in and he has not offered to help solve anything.
So all in all, learn from MY mistake, don't buy from Smithy081 (Nathan Smith) I wouldnt even waste my time offering him advice on the forums.
