Default HS-6965HB issue. Strange. Need advice.

Hey guys.

Love Hitec Servos. Been using them pretty much exclusively for a couple years. Only had 2 issues to date, with this most recent one leaving be scratching my head.

At an onroad carpet race today my xray's 6965 servo somehow went off center and lost 75% of right turn movement. I was making good laps and after going through a quick chicane into a right handed switchback leading into the straight my car never centered up on the back straight and turned right into the wall.

When I picked up the car it appeared as if the servo horn had stripped, thus being off center and leaving my wheel turned hard right. However, I use an aluminum servo horn so that wasn't the case.

After removing the servo from the car I checked the movements and it turns just fine to the left but will only turn about 25% to the right. All of my radio settings are centered. I have no clue what caused this. The servo has been used for about 15 weekends, and prior to this had worked flawlessly.

Can anyone help?
