The 5955TG and the 985MG will not handle the voltage from a 2 cell Lipo. You will need a regulator. I would try (2) 7955TG's with no regulator, i'm on the 12th month with mine no issues. The 7955TG's are designed for high voltage.

I may go that route in the near future. But I was told by tech support last year that running a analog servo for thr/brk would be a better option.

Is that you Glen? I run the Hitec Synth Dx with no issues. I am old school, i still run 75MHz. I know the Novak synthesized and the XXL can handle it as well. Not too sure about the 2.4 stuff.

Hey Billy - Yeah that's me! Thanks for the reply. You know, sometimes old school is a good thing. Tried and true - I have a few Futaba Synth FM modules. Maybe I'll give those a try on the few nitros I'm still running.
