Gyro Setup

I'm using an Align gyro and my Optic 6. I set the gear switch to control the gyro. The gain is controlled by the EPA's, correct? When I set the gyro mode to "Inh" the chopper begins hunting. The only way it will stop is if I activate the gyro mode. Some have told me that for the gyro to work in HH mode the gyro mode must be "Inh". Is this correct? I'm pretty sure it's holding. Am I missing something? I've messed with the EPA's and it will hold for a few seconds and then begins to wag again.
Next question: When I setup the idle up 1 & 2, I flip the switch and everything works fine except the nose starts to spin left and I need alot of right input to stop it. is there something else I need to do in the menu to correct this? Is my tail set up wrong?
