I have a HS-925mg hi-torque servo.. the movement of the gears causes extreme glitching of the other channel. what can I do about this?

My transmitter battery alarm just went off before...could it have a weak transmission just 6-12 inches away? would that cause the throttle to go nuts when the metal gear servo is moved?
