This is the view from the side of the track, the ramp up to the driver stand, looking at the area where a giant window will be installed. The other side of the window is the hobby shop itself, which will require you to walk through before entering the track area. This means where the blue lift is, is the hobby shop area.
View from the hobbyshop towards the track through the same window.
Older photo, same area. View of the ADA compliant ramp up to the driver stand.
Again, older photo (2 weeks). Another view of the ramp. Directly back is going to be the pit area against the wall.
Exit from the driver stand. These steps are oriented towards the other pit area that is located in the back of the building.
Older pic. This is the driver stand before it was covered, which has an all steel cover on the ledge. You can also see where the pit area will be on the far wall.

Opening date isn't set, still. There's reasons for it, but the date given above is accurate.

Spoke with Chris at HA, he stated they will have a "rough opening" sometime this month to allow racers some time on the track and a full, grand opening sometime early December. It's getting close!

I went by the hobby shop yesterday. They are waiting on electricians. I told them I knew how to twist wire nuts and I'd do the electrical work as long as I didn't have to be there when they turned the power on! ;-)
They are shooting for opening around Christmas. It's going to be an awesome facility.

I don't believe the Christmas timeline. I'd bet it's more like mid January. Very little work was done lately it looks, and with the time off from Thanksgiving then Xmass and new years, it will still need an inspection before they're allowed to open.

from my experience having done construction, remodeling, and involved with over a dozen huge custom home builds.....if the pics are recent, along with what was said about electrical, clearing inspections, etc. along with incoming holidays. December is not happening for "public opening"
everything seems like it goes fast then you get to finishing work which eats up time, and cause a crawl on final stages.
