Default rc in the area

I am looking at moving to Phx in the next year or two for work. Can someone let me know what kind of racing there is near there, on and off road?

I currently race mostly on-road but open to what the future holds . . . any info is appreciated.

thx

I think if you race onroad, you best bet is to go to HobbyTown Gilbert. Onroad is really big and there are some great racers. We usually have an A, B, and C in 17.5 TC each week, as well as 21.5 spec GT touring class. Also, they have many oval classes if you prefer than.

If you go to az-rc.com you can get a lot more information on tracks and classes.

If you want racing:
On-road - Hobbytown Gilbert, end of story.
Off-road - Warehouse 3 and SRS, both indoor tracks and Fear Farm for 8th

Bashing:
There are a couple of spots in town for this.

Chris, i'm not sure i appreciate being considered a basher but SRS is working on building a program that will feature 1/12 scale pan cars. SRS's fall/ winter series is in the works and will be announced soon. Be sure to look in the unofficial SRS on-road topic for more info.

Well David that makes two of us as I don’t appreciate your making assumptions about my post. My bashing comment had nothing to do with you or any facility.

The four tracks that I listed are the only tracks that have published regular racing schedules and programs for the type of racing indicated. SRS makes no mention of any on-road racing on their face book page that I could find; by that I could find no recent posts indicating a day or time that on-road racing would happen just the off-road racing. And if you check the track racing schedule on their webpage there is no on-road racing listed or mentioned and none is scheduled for this month, last month or any month I could find. In fact in your own unofficial thread someone posted that the on-road track is currently closed. Also there are a couple of other off-road tracks but I left them off my short list as I’m not sure that they have a regular schedule either. So in short I see no point in listing venues that do not offer regular published racing schedules, and those currently not available.

Chris - I pretty sure David was trying to being funny about the "basher" bit.

Let's remember we're all on the same side. We want quality racing in the Phoenix area for on-road. It's darn easy to get frustrated at the current situation since all of us know what would work better.
