TQ RC Racing in Chico... Road-trip!!!
 

How many people are interested in a road-trip to Chino CA for a weekend of carpet racing.

I'd like to propose a Saturday - Sunday weekend of practice, track time and racing on the following weekends

- June 7th & June 8th - TQ Point series race #2

- June 21st & June 22nd - TQ Point series race #3

My idea is to get a group together and road-trip out Saturday morning, practice and tune on Saturday, find reasonable accommodations for the night, race Sunday then head home.

I would love to make this trip as often as possible but once a month or so would be more reasonable.

Well, let's hear it guy's. What do you think? I'm planning on going these first two dates.

Absolutely. I'll have to see about a car that can fit more than one person, but we have a couple weeks. I might be able to offer a ride to a few people if this works out.

I'd like to go.

Evan- you can get 4 people in a mustang, it's getting all the gear in the truck that might be an issue. Oh and I call shotgun if you drive.

We could also take my truck, I might have a lockable tonneau cover by then.

I've been in contact with Bill and Eric up here and they are in. I'm waiting to see if anyone else is interested.

This should be a blast. TQ is running two classes of 1/12th, F1, touring car along with WGT and Mini's.

I can't wait.

You can get 4 midgets or 2.5 big people in my mustang :D, but I might be able to borrow a dodge magnum wagon from my parents. That holds four people and quite a lot of stuff.

If we're going to do this I need to get my ass in gear. Every touring car I own is in pieces. 1/12 scalers are in one piece though. If I get bored I just might put my mini together.

I forgot my wife will be out of town the 7th & 8th so I have single parent duties. I'm in for the 21st-22nd though.

I might be in for the later date race, see if some of the local TC knuckleheads want to road trip for some early IIC practice :lol:

I just can't make June 7th & 8th work. I think that 21st-22nd will be good. I think David and James are up for that too.

Looks like I'm the only Banta down for doing both June 7th & 8th, and the 21st & 22nd. Need to do a lot of work on the car though!

Yup. It's still a go. Currently it looks like James, Eric and myself are going from the Phoenix area.

Eric knows of a Super 8 about two miles from the track.

Is it still you and Eric Fike coming from Tucson?

I don't really want to drive that far just myself. And Eric posted above he cant go on the 7th and 8th.

I'm not really sure what the complete plan is, but I'll be more than happy to car pool with you Evan. I'm assuming we leave for California early Saturday Morning? With that in mind, I've got an air mattress and extra bedroom for you if you want to head up to Phoenix on Friday.
