Unfortunately We do not have power but we do have a watering system and we have a system in place for timing that will work for us for now. Hope you come check us out and not let our no power issue keep you away. I feel we have a really cool family friendly atmospher and would love to see you all at the races.
Thanks

Having to pay to be a member of roar I think the track should have ABM timing system and for sure have power for the racers. No power=no racers

Yes they use the ROAR for insurance. It was always like that.
No offense Matt, there are quite a few east side racers who would love to come out and race there especially on Sundays when its the only race in town but the club is going to have to make a real effort to show interest. When SL was hopping back in the day 100 entries was not out of the question but Mike is right when he says that racers will not show up without power and a scoring loop. If you guys want a good turnout you have to provide the requirements. Other tracks have tried being half-harted about things and failed. Racers are very fickle and won't show up if there is no dedication from the facility to provide a complete show. So back to my original post; please keep us posted when its ready to rip and people will come.

It's for insurance reasons. Roar covers the track and racers that are members. Private track insurance is pretty expensive. We pay an annual rate plus extra on race days. $$$$ adds up quick.

I thank you all for the input please understand that we at SLRCC want to provide the best racing facility and racing experience as we can but this is going to take time. We are a small RC club and having our last timing system stolen the club is hesitant to spend that kinda money if we are not gonna have any kind of turn out. If we can get racers to come out and generate some revinue the club will spend the money. We are discussing a solar charging station because we have no power at the facility. With all of your support we can be a great racing facility again!!!!
