LOOK
Yes, after the practice on Monday, they were really worried about the track holding up for the week. Apparently it had already taken a beating.

You qualify into the "Semi"

If ryan is TQ hell start first in one of the two "semis" Second qualifier will start first in the other semi. Third will start second in the same semi as Ryan. Fourth will start second in the opposite semi, and so on down the list.

you then have to finish in the top XX *not sure how many bump** just as if it was a B main.

Break or blow out in the semi and.... sorry about your luck.

the semi's and lower aren't called mains.. but they basically are. The only "Main" is the people who bump outta the semi's into the final.

Its a good system with that many drivers so close in time and skill. Helps to differentiate between drivers who had clean heats, and got a banzai run vs. those who had no gap and had to drive around traffic and wrecks. It ends up being more consistent with traditional short track qualifying. Win your race, get placed in the feature event.

Of course it hurts if you flame or lose a tire or what have you in the semi. Euro-champs are run this way now too. Just keeps the playing field more consistent.

Mike do you know if they run a last chance race for those that don't make it out of the Semis?
