No VTA or F1 tires. If you want to race one of those classes, don't bother showing up.

Or... bring what you have already since it is PRACTICE and you can run whatever you like for tires. VTA tires ARE hard as hell for everyone to get, but they are on order and hopefully will show up soon.. F1 rears are in stock, fronts were back ordered but again in-coming soon.
Would be awesome though if all this 💩 negativity could be flushed down the drain.

i asked the HT racing director. what's going to happen saturday with VTA, F-1, and 1/12th scale tire wise, and racers who may come from out of town (shortage for in town too), he said they will be able to race with what they have. they are not going to ban or turn away if you have rubber F-1 tires, VTA rubbers tires, and foams for 1/12th you will be good to go.

today was open practice with sedans, 1/12th cars, and tamiya trucks, saw no one with F-1's or VTA. track was blown off and sprayed with soda. they used orange and strawberry soda.....big mistake, i said they should have used root beer

Actually, it was mostly grape soda....it worked really well, especially with the Semi and TC's.. Root Beer would have probably been too much traction.. but would have smelled better I bet!!

I'd say opening night was a success. Good turn out and some fun racing on the new on-road track!

onroad classes Saturday was sportsman 17.5 TC. exp 17.5 TC, and 17.5 1/12th scale. there was a random drift car, F-1, tamiya truck, and mini cooper as i looked across the pits. many local racers showed but still on the fence in spooling up cars, have cars inwork, or still deciding.

A few things I learned from the first race night of pan car racing on asphalt:

Buggy Grip was the best tire sauce I tried on the pan car tires. I tried Paragon black can and Trinity Death Grip as well and they were perfectly okay but the Buggy Grip fared best.

4.5mm of ride height is just about right. More and the car gets lazy.

The track is smooth and has good grip from a soaking with sugar soda but is not perfectly level due to it needing to drain. This can make the car wander so be on your toes.

Aside from that, it was perfectly good, I kept the car off the boards for the most part but they are pretty solid, so be careful. I didn't actually manage to put my car on its lid, but if you weren't attentive you may be able to manage it.

I'm excited that Lonny has a place to race. Just finished doing an inventory of my stuff. I sold my F1 and WGT so if I do race it will just be 1/12 and TC. But it could still be awhile.
