That depends on which type of kit you're running. if you're running ball diff you want it a little loose on the front and a little tight on the back but not locked. If you have bevel diff use heavy weight silicone, i tried 300wt works fine with my TT01.
Ball bearings is a must. It will drift longer and batt life will run longer.
Locking the diff is not gonna do any good for drifting. you're just gonna slide everywhere and will cause understeer.
Set up for my TT01
0 camber all wheel if your running PVC or ABS.
soft spring front and back 30wt oil
19t motor and 3000 cell
check this http://www.geocities.com/dstylejr/minitt01.mpg
im also running Mini TT01 that i converted this myself just for fun.

newbie question ... is it possible to drift in Q.C. area aspalt roads to practice? i've been checking the links and member rides all day and would love to get into this.
which electric chassis setup would you guys recommend i start with, i want to go the cheap 2nd hand route first and with pvc tire for starters. maybe when im a little more adept and really get deeper into the sport, i'll buy a new setup.
TIA!

You can drift anywhere as long as the road surface is smooth and avoid pebbles, gap and cracks. Best place i would suggest is b-ball court or t-court, mall parking lot, etc.
I would buy a used 4WD kit too. It has to be with in reasonable price and lots of upgrade like ball bearings, oil filled shock, motor and electronics.
Its good to drift with friends and doTouge Style.

thanks for the info, appreciate it!
basket ball court and church parking area seems more ideal for me, a very very short walk from my place. but the tennis court, i dont think that would work well since they use some kind of rubber paint on it.
which car chassis type would be best to start with? i hope there is one in the 4sale section when im liquid, id hate to go searching ebay and order via my friend from NY.

cool i'll be looking out for one in the very near future. i knew i should have bought Skywalker 2's kit when it was up for grabs at 1,500 a month or 2 ago.
btw, what are the differences in handling between beltdrive and shaft driven cars? also, which of the two is easier to maintain?

Dongskie,
Parang may nabanggit sa TA05 thread na magkakaroon ng rally class ang TCS next year, tama ba? may balita ka ba duon?
