Hey guys,

I'll be headed down to Gulf Shores the weekend of July 12-13 (next weekend) and I am looking for a place to stop along the way to do some 1/8th buggy racing.

Can anybody recommend a track that has good turnouts on for either Sat or Sun racing. I would like to be around the Birmingham or Montgomery area but really anywhere down through there will be fine. I don't mind if I have to drive an hour or so off I-65 either so hit me up with some suggestions and links to websites so I can check them out.

Thanks
Robbie

Hey Robbie, From Mobile here. There are 3 tracks on the way. Mobile, Daphne (onroad parking lot) and Foley. Directions are on both sites.

Mobiles track is nice. Surface is red dirt/clay. Used to run it wet but i think they are running it dry now. (little dusty) I use to run 19t truck/Mod-buggy out there. Foley track (which I have yet to run) the surface is almost the same from what I hear, Maybe a little harder. I switched to onroad for a while. We run On-road in Daphne. Its on the way for you too. This weekend we will be racing. Not sure about off-road in Mobile or Foley. Check the sites out and see whats up. Always happy to see new faces.

I almost forgot about Ft. Walton. Nice track. Blue groove surface. Small but sticky and fast.
