This time of year, you are pretty much going to be out of luck for racing. RC3racing.com is the home website for RC in the Huntsville area, and atrainracing.net is the home site for the Birmingham area.
Madison has a permanent track on Hughes road at Discovery Middle School. The track is always laid down, you just might have to move some obstacles that the local kids tend to leave laying around.
Hope this helps you out, and look forward to meeting you one day!!
I'm in Cullman, There are some tracks around but I want to go somewhere and see what it is all about and try my luck on the track before I go where there is a big crowd.
Bluemound Freak
. Where are the tracks in Cullman, I am in Hayden and new to the sport. PM with what they are running at the tracks, Scale, gas or electirc, and ETC>
ok after further research I want to race 1/10 scale Pan Oval. Where in the Southeast can I do that?
Drew T,
We have a track local in Huntsville that we have been trying to race some oval at. This year was bad due to the weather and the scheduling with the quarter midgets (we use their track). We should be able to have the track again next year, and hopefully have some better turnouts.
go to the forums on teamtrinity.com If you run on road then look in to the rc3 site. If you go in to the team trinity forums they have the forums for lots of off road track forums. It is hard to find places to run in the winter though, Most places are probly fixing to close up by untill next spring. The best thing to do when getting in to the hobby is to vissit the tracks and they will help you with setups and stuff.
HotShots is holding a race this weekend. I know its not up north but alot of people think it is well worth it. There is a minimum of $250 in Buggy and Truggy Class but I would guess the Buggy winner will get $500, with the turnout we are expecting!
We have alot of events planned for 2008 starting in Jan.

Zeal to promote the common good, whether it be by devising anything ourselves, or revising that which hath been laboured
by others, deserveth certainly much respect and esteem, but yet findeth but cold entertainment in the world. It is welcomed
with suspicion instead of love, and with emulation instead of thanks: and if there be any hole left for cavil to enter, (and
cavil, if it do not find a hole, will make one) it is sure to be misconstrued, and in danger to be condemned.
