Not real sure on the off-road, but I know there is at least one on-road.. Madison, just west of Huntsville, has a permanent on-road track.. We usually race every other weekend on Sundays.
rc3racing.com<-- that is the local clubs website.. There is a schedule and a bunch of the "rules" that we run.. Pretty much, if you show up, we will put you in a class with something.. We try not to turn down anybody that shows up and wants to race.

Yes, we do run nitro.. It is kind of hit or miss though.. We have about 3 to 4 people pretty regular, but there are a couple of others that come and go. So any given race weekend we should have a class.
Our track is permanent, but its not quite the best you've seen. It was laid out on an old tennis court and the concrete has cracked in several places.. Every couple of months we try to get out there with some quikrete and patch the big holes enough that it doesnt tear up the cars.. Just dont be afraid to get scratches on the bottom..lol
Our next club race in the 13th.. If you get a chance, you ought to come out and watch and meet some people. We have a good bunch of guys that will bend over backwards to help out anybody..

I talked with the Rc Hobbies again last week. The owner said within the month they should start clearing for the tracks. They are going to be building both an onroad and offroad track.

Welcome to the Northern Alabama...I live NE of Huntsville in the county.
I will start back racing offroad once the local track is built.

I dont know if we could do that or not... it would be kind of frowned apon if we put a truck out there with a bunch of cars.. just wouldnt really make for some good racing.. but if you could get 3 of them to show up, i guess we could make a class for it..
