The shop is still open. The track is not. They built a new, bigger building where the old dirt track used to be. Its now called RC Hobby Barn.

We are still racing on-road in Madison and there are a couple of off-road tracks around the area. Not sure on where they are since I'm an on-roader.
www.rc3racing.com<-- That is the website for the on-road club.
Hope that helps you out some.

I talked with the owner last week and they plan to have the Offroad track up and running this year. Im just now getting back in to RC after a 4 year break(bought an Ofna 9.5). If anyone in the area wants to get together to go to one of the surrounding offroad track let me know.

Thanks
Ray

It may be a while before Hobby Barn has a track. In the meantime RC Hobbies in Cullman races 8th scales.

Electric offroad sounds great. No engine tuning and tons 'o' fun. It just seems that there is a lack of active offroad tracks in the Birmingham area. If elec offroad was started where would the races be held? The track at oakmountain has fallen into disrepair despite its history as an RC mecca in the 80's.
