Here is the setup that Hupo had on his car for the main:
Front -
** CRC Magenta front - 1.65" 35 shore glued inner and outer sidewall
** .50mm front springs with very little preload
** -.5 degree camber
** Long ball upper arm with 5 degree dynamic caster blocks
** 2 caster shims to the back, 1 to the front
** 3.75mm front ride height
Mid-
** Red center spring
** .5mm down travel in pod
** Batteries forward
** 3.5mm ride height
Rear-
** 30000 weight in tubes
** Red side springs with very little preload
** CRC Yellow rear tires 1.70"
** 3.5mm rear ride height
TQ and 1st in the A-main.
As you can tell, this setup is a little more "mellow" than the setup on Jilles' car. The motor in Hupo's car was almost a year old, so he was just a little down on horsepower compared to the newest generation of brushless motors that are available. So Hupo and I decided to give him a car he could drive hard, right from lap one. Looking back, I think 20000 in the tubes would have made him a little quicker through the corners, but he was happy, so I left it alone.
Any questions, feel free to ask.
