INTRODUCTION & COVERAGE >>> Another carpet racing season has come and gone here in the 'States, as warmer weather has reached most of the country and people have begun pulling out their nitro engines for the summer season. But before that happens, the best drivers in the country gathered for the ROAR Carpet National Championships, held this year from March 24th-28th at NORCAR in Cleveland, Ohio. After six months of indoor racing with constant innovation, new cars, new equipment, and everything in between, it's time to crown a new set of national champions!
The annual championships include stock and modified divisions for touring cars and 1/12th scale, as well as a 1/12th scale masters (stock) class. Close to 200 racers showed up for this year's event, with nearly 300 overall entries. NORCAR is currently located in a nice, roomy facility with plenty of track and pit space, giving everybody plenty of space to stretch out and wrench on their cars (often times a rarity at these large events).
Be sure to check out our official 2004 ROAR Carpet Nationals discussion thread in the forums, as well as the pages of pictures and results contained here.
