Various views of the absolutely huge carpet track here at TCHR. With the constant
use of nothing but foam tires here, there is more traction here than just about
anywhere. The "groove" is plainly visible, even on day one!
A few shots of the drivers stand. If you look closely, you will see Brian Kinwald,
Chris Tosolini, David Jun, Paul Lemieux, Barry Baker, Billy Easton and others.
A few views of the pit areas. There are four distinct pit areas in the building; the one
directly behind the track is the "manufacturers' row" so-to-speak, along with some of the
other track-side spaces.
It looks like Paul Lemieux's "Furbo 30" has somehow reproduced. It's the "Trouble with
Tribbles" all over again!
Everybody has about ten trillion foam tires in their pit box. Most stock racers are truing
theirs down to around 59 mm to begin with, while the factory mod guys are going down as far
as possible; the lack of a sidewall prevents the tires from "rolling over" while cornering.
Team Losi's Todd Hodge assists a racer in setting up his car.
Team 1 Racing's Kraig O'Brien working hard in the pits.
Some goofing off in the Reedy/Associated pits; Barry Baker's replacement...
My own little pit area, getting far too little use as I end up spending most of
my time on the web, rather than working on my car!
