Nitro Elements
Nitro Elements returns to the Hobby Expo with its excellent Art Attack nitro-powered R/C snowmobile. With winter just around the corner, this is one vehicle you don't want to be without! For more information on Nitro Elements products, visit their website at www.nitroelements.com. Novak Electronics
Following the release of the XXtra, their synthesized frequency receiver, Novak has come up with the complementary transmitter module, dubbed the "Switch." Working on the 75 MHz FM band, this module plugs directly into the Airtronics/Sanwa M8 transmitter, and completely eliminates the need for crystals when combined with the XXtra. Wave of the future? Most definitely.
Seeing the Novak Brushless Motor & Speed Control at the Hobby Expo has (sadly) become somewhat of an annual ritual, although this year's version looks closer to a production model than ever before. Although other companies have released brushless motors in the meantime (Team Orion, GM Racing, etc.) many consumers have held their off on judging them, knowing that with Novak's track record and the amount of R&D going into this motor, the Novak version may be the one to beat. Hopefully, we'll see the Novak unit on the shelves very soon.
Here are some closer-up shots of the Novak Brushless system installed on a Losi vehicle. Looks good to us!
Here's a look at some of Novak's products in the display case, with heavy emphasis on the brand-new GT7 speed control, the apparent successor to the venerable Cyclone and Cyclone 2 lines. For more information on Novak Electronics products, visit their website at www.teamnovak.com. OFNA
